MU-1 District

§ 160-2.2.  Statements of purpose.

 

  • Mixed Use (MU 1, MU 2 and MU 3). The purpose of the Mixed Use Districts is to provide for commercial and mixed development locations within the Village while protecting the primarily residential character of the neighborhoods. The Mixed Use District 2, located along MacArthur Avenue, has the same purpose as all other areas designated as Mixed Use District 1, except that this area has different dimensional standards. The Mixed Use District 3, located on the north side of West Main Street, has the same purpose as all other areas designated as Mixed Use District 2, except for different dimensional standards and slight differences in permitted uses.   • Appliance & Computer Repair, Bank, Bed & Breakfast, Car Wash, Coin Operated Laundry, Farmers Market, Gallery Museum, Livery Taxi, Lunch Wagon/Moveable Diner, Medical/Dental Clinic, Nursery School/Daycare, Personal Service, Offices, Recreational Vehicles, Recreational Business, Retail, Visual Arts Studio, Sidewalk Café, Charitable Organization, Convent/Monastery, Group Home, Nursing Home, Public Utility Facility, Religious Uses, Schools Public/Private, Cottage Industry, Light Industry, Manufacturing, Rail Transfer, Research Lab, Warehouse, Wholesaling.
