Cobleskill Recreation Commission Summer/ Winter Recreation Programs for 2021-2022

 

SUMMER SWIM PROGRAM

Village Pool opened from June 19-Aug 31. Recreation Swim held daily. Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri, 1-6; Tues and Thurs 1-5 and 6-8; Sat, Sun 1-5; Tues & Thurs evening swim, July 2-Aug 22;  Season Passes and admission prices: Village/Town Residents:Season Pass:$50; daily: child-$2.00, Adult-$4.00 Non Residents:Season: Family-$70, daily, child-$4.00, adult-$8.00; Swimming Lessons: All levels from Parent Tot to Lifeguarding. Parent Tot- ages 18 months -3 years-parents must get in the water with their children. Preschool - ages 4-5;  Level 1- age 6 or has completed Kindergarten  Registration held at the pool. $30 for Cobleskill Village and Town residents, $35 for non-residents.  Session 1: June 28-July 9  registration June 26 @ 11am;  Session 2: July 12-23 registration July10 @ 11am; Session 3: July26 -Aug 6  registration July 24@ 11am; Lifeguarding Class-must be at least 15, Aug 9-13 call for details; For more information about programs call 518- 231-1255  

                                                                                               

             SUMMER CAMPS AT THE YOUTH CENTER

Kick off for the youth programs-July 10, ages K-17, 10-2 at the Youth Center

 

Intergenerational Program, ages 6-12,  July 12-Aug 12- Monday-Thurs 9-12,  Rain or shine- activities will take place inside and outside at the Youth Center- special events, arts & crafts and field games. For children entering First-Sixth Grade. No Exceptions.  Parent or guardian MUST be present to register. Free program, donations welcome. Come prepared to play - NO open toed shoes allowed! Bring a water bottle and a snack. Will register up to 100 children. Director James Gravina-518-419-1790

 

 Youth Program, ages 13-17, July 12-Aug 12,  Mon-Thurs 12-2pm-combination of adventure, experience, positive adult mentorship, and leadership development opportunities will enable participants to unleash their potential to thrive. Goal is to inspire kids with a sense of purpose, ultimately preparing them with unique skills and strengths to contribute to the world beyond themselves all through fun and bonding with others. August 14-Salvation Army Free Summer Camp at Youth Center from 10am-2pm

 

TENNIS PROGRAM

Tennis FUNdamentals-July12-Aug 13, Basic tennis instruction at the Golding Tennis Courts.  Monday-Fri; 9:30am - 11am, ages 8-18; No experience necessary Register on the first day of camp or pre-register at the Youth Center on Saturday, June 26 from 12-2. Please bring a tennis racket, water and sunblock. Loaner tennis rackets will be available for participants who do not have their own racket. This is a free program! Questions?   SUMMER VOLLEYBALL AT  GOLDING PARK

B3 Volleyball League is a group of individuals promoting the sport of volleyball in Schoharie County for all ages and levels of play. We do an open play throughout the summer with 2s and 4s.   JR GOLF CLINIC AT COBLESKILL GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB

New this year--Jr Golf Clinic- Free program held at Cobleskill Golf and Country Club, July 12, 19, 26 and August 2, 9, 16 from 9-10 and 10:30-11:30;ages 3rd grade and older welcome, limit 10 kids,to register call the golf shop@518-234-4045.  First come, first served.Bring your own clubs if you have them.

  HOLIDAY EVENTS

4th of July Parade and Fireworks-Parade begins at 5pm and will start at Campus Dr and disperse at the fairgrounds. No activities at the fairgrounds. Events scattered throughout Cobleskill from 6-9pm. Fireworks will start at 9:30 from the hill behind Price Chopper.

STRONG HEARTS

COBY STRONG FREE  Healthy Heart Club for women 30+.  Join us every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5-6 pm, @ Community Center.   Women will have aerobic exercise for 35 minutes and then have 20 minutes of strength training--weights are provided.  There is no childcare available at this time.  For additional information contact  Bonnie Nichols--nicholsb09@gmail.com

 NICK IORIO PARK and GOLDING PARK

Nick Iorio Park Complex is on Campus Drive-village swimming pool, a multi-purpose area for free play and the “Imagination Creation” playground. Picnic facilities are available for large and small groups. Golding Park is on North Grand -volleyball, basketball, and a skateboard park available. Your cooperation in keeping the areas clean is appreciated.  Motorized vehicles and smoking are not permitted in either park.  All vehicles must park in designated parking lots. Handicap parking  is available. For reservations for use of the park grounds Contact Cobleskill Village Office @   234-3891.  Parks close at 9pm

 

VILLAGE POOL AND YOUTH CENTER  RENTAL

Village Pool is located in Nick Iorio Park and is available for private birthday parties-contact the pool @ 518-231-1255 for  information.  The Youth Center is located in Golding Park and is available for special activities and events. Contact Cobleskill Village Office @ 234-3891 for  information.
