A LETTER FROM THE MAYOR
The Village of Cobleskill is a great place to do business, and I would like to extend an invitation to you to consider locating your business in our area. The Village is bounded by I‐88, NYS Routes 145, 10, 7, and 20. We have beautiful open spaces and ease of movement within the immediate environment, and Manhattan, Montreal, Buffalo and Boston are all within two hundred fifty miles. Neighboring communities within the county include Sharon Springs, Richmondville, Schoharie, Middleburgh and Summit.
The Village of Cobleskill is home to businesses ranging in size from sole proprietorships to multi-national corporations, and the Village Board and staff continually seek to encourage a business-friendly environment by efficiently delivering municipal services, and maintaining clear and open communication with our commercial community. The Village’s economic development effort focuses on businesses already located within our village, while encouraging establishment of additional businesses. We, and our county and state colleagues, will work with your team to make sure that your introduction to our region is as smooth as possible. We can provide information on many local-, state-, and county-level incentives available to you. The Planning, Environment & Codes Department provides knowledgeable and friendly assistance with any necessary permitting, and can also supply demographic, zoning and regulation information to assist in any development that you may plan.
In summary, the Village of Cobleskill strives to provide an enthusiastic economic climate for businesses through interested, responsive, and supportive Village government. We welcome your questions and discussion related to doing business in Cobleskill.
Please call the Village Hall (518-234-3891) to schedule a visit with me so I can personally show you why Cobleskill is the best location in Upstate New York for your business.
-Linda V. Holmes, Mayor of Cobleskill
